Eagles at Patriots, Preseason Week 2
Recently, the Patriots welcomed the Eagles for joint practices and a preseason game, treating the media in the press box to a delightful feast on both occasions.
During the joint practices, Korean BBQ chicken, Mongolian beef, vegetable stir fry, and vegetable fried rice were on the menu. For dessert, they offered coconut macaroons, pineapple, and orange cheesecake – a spread worth praising!
The standout dishes were the Korean BBQ chicken and the orange cheesecake, according to our eager taste testers. However, the Mongolian beef was deemed passable.
In the past, the Eagles would often provide Papa John’s or Little Caesars pizza after practice – a subpar choice for hungry journalists. Thankfully, those days are behind us, and we now have the option of enjoying Rita’s Water Ice instead.
At the game, the Patriots continued to impress with their spread, offering honey teriyaki salmon fillets, mac and cheese, cold noodle salad, New England clam chowder, mixed salad, apple cobbler with ice cream, and a candy station. Halftime also saw the introduction of cold wraps for a quick bite.
It’s always amusing to have Ross Tucker around as the Eagles’ preseason color analyst, as he fearlessly documents each spread while I take a more stealthy approach.
Ross may hold the title of the second-best food spread analyst in the game, but the Patriots managed to earn a solid B+ for their efforts. Kudos to them for exceeding expectations during the preseason!
