Former “Jackass” star Bam Margera found himself in legal trouble once again after being arrested for allegedly driving drunk in Fulton County. The 44-year-old was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving, and related charges. This arrest violated the terms of his probation sentence, which he received in June after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct for an incident involving his brother and others at his home, known as “Castle Bam,” in April 2023.

Following his arrest, Margera’s attorneys requested that he be released and placed into a rehabilitation facility, as reported by the Inquirer. However, Common Pleas Judge Patrick Carmody decided to keep Margera in custody pending a medical evaluation, including drug and alcohol testing, to determine the next steps. With Margera’s blood alcohol content nearly double the state’s limit at the time of his arrest, his release could result in 28 days to six months in jail.
Despite this setback, Margera’s attorney, Michael van der Veen, expressed confidence in his client’s progress, mentioning how well Margera had been doing up until this incident. Van der Veen expects Margera to be released soon and is looking forward to his client’s continued growth.
During the hearing, Margera revealed that his arrest came during a solo road trip, a departure from his usual routine with his wife, Danielle Marie. This incident serves as a reminder of the challenges Margera continues to face on his path to recovery.
