Authorities are currently on the lookout for the driver responsible for a hit-and-run incident that left a 4-year-old boy injured and hospitalized on Friday morning.
The incident took place at the intersection of Cobbs Creek Parkway and Larchwood Ave around 10 a.m. The young boy, accompanied by his mother, was in the process of getting into a parked car when he was struck by another vehicle.

While the child was knocked over, he remained conscious following the accident as per reports from authorities disclosed to 6ABC. The driver fled the scene, but luckily a witness was able to capture the license plate of the vehicle.
Shortly after, the wanted vehicle was discovered less than a mile away at Milbourne and Market streets in Delaware County. Despite finding the vehicle parked in front of a driveway, the driver was nowhere to be found by the police.
As of now, Philadelphia Police have not provided any updates on the child’s condition, the identity of the driver, or the make and model of the vehicle involved in the incident.
