Welcome to our exciting Sixers player preview series! As we gear up for Sixers Media Day on Sep. 30, we’re diving into each of the 14 players on the team’s roster. We’ll be asking two key questions about each player that will shape their season in 2024-25, along with making bold predictions about what’s to come.
Today, let’s shine a spotlight on rookie center, Adem Bona, the No. 41 pick in the latest NBA Draft.

Can Bona’s fouling issues be tamed?
Adem Bona showcases incredible athleticism and a 7-foot-3.75 wingspan, making him a menacing shot-blocker. However, his Achilles’ heel has been his foul trouble. Averaging over nine fouls per 40 minutes during Summer League is a glaring red flag for the young center.
To thrive in the NBA, Bona must reign in his fouling tendencies to avoid jeopardizing the team’s defensive efforts.
How will Bona’s motor fare in the NBA?
While Bona’s energy and relentless playstyle have served him well so far, the NBA poses a whole new challenge. Will his high motor translate against bigger, stronger opponents? Only time will tell.
Bona’s rookie season prediction: More G League action than significant NBA minutes.
While Bona has immense defensive potential, his offensive limitations may hinder his impact. A redshirt season could be ideal for his development, allowing him to grow into a more well-rounded player.
Patience will be key in nurturing Bona’s talents, and the Sixers are well-equipped to support his journey.
