The Philadelphia Eagles are gearing up for their season opener against the Packers in Brazil, but unfortunately, they are already facing some challenges due to injuries. According to reports from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, defensive back James Bradberry sustained a “lower leg” injury during practice on Wednesday.

Although surgery is not required, the injury involves a tendon and recovery time for an injury of this nature is approximately 6-8 weeks. pic.twitter.com/GvIGxudgIr

Bradberry is expected to be out of action for six-to-eight weeks but will not need surgical intervention. This setback comes at a critical time as Bradberry had been transitioning to safety after a tough 2023 season playing cornerback. Despite uncertainties about his roster spot, he managed to secure a place on the Eagles’ 53-man roster this season. However, this injury poses a challenge for both him and the overall depth of the Eagles’ secondary.
