When it comes to beer, the Kelce brothers, Jason and Travis, are no strangers. Whether they’re celebrating on a graduation stage or unwinding at a beach bar, the duo knows their way around a refreshing can, bottle, or glass of beer. And now, they’re taking their love of beer to the next level with their latest business venture.
Recently retired Eagles center Jason and his younger brother, Chiefs tight end Travis, have become the largest investors in the Ohio-based independent light beer brand Garage Beer, which is rapidly gaining popularity in Philly. This marks the first time the brothers, who co-host the highly acclaimed “New Heights” podcast, will join forces as significant owners and operators of a business.

“A big part of this story is this is the first joint investment that they’ve made, and I think that’s a testament to how much they love beer and how much they want to be involved,” said Andy Sauer, co-owner of Garage Beer. “I mean, Jason called and sent three ideas this morning for marketing…(They’re) very heavily involved in that way. It’s just great to have partners that are invested and engaged. It’s a very involved relationship.”
In addition to marketing, the Kelce brothers will play a role in every aspect of the Garage Beer business, including brewing, distribution, sales, and national expansion efforts. Keep an eye out for life-sized cardboard cutouts of Jason and Travis at your local beer store as retail displays and billboards are set to make their debut.
“People crave quality and simplicity, and Garage Beer nails both for me,” Jason expressed. “We are light beer drinkers and Garage is the best light beer.”
Travis added, “I think everyone knows I like to have a couple of beers now and then, so being an owner of Garage Beer and heavily involved in making the best light beer is exciting, man! There is nothing better to bring people together than an ice-cold beer, and for Jason and me that is what beer is all about – friends, family, and fun.”
Garage Beer is a 4% ABV light lager available in classic and lime varieties. According to Sauer, the classic flavor is a traditional American light beer with a bit more flavor and body than usual. The lime variant is a popular choice, especially for beachgoers.

The Kelce brothers have teamed up to own and operate an Ohio-based beer. Above, Jason Kelce, Travis Kelce, and Andy Sauer, who co-owns Garage Beer.
The Garage recipe was crafted in Cincinnati, Ohio, where Jason and Travis played football at the University of Cincinnati. The beer was initially launched in 2017 by Braxton Brewing Co. and was acquired by Sauer in January 2023 for a standalone relaunch.
Sauer mentioned that the partnership with the Kelces was a long time coming, highlighting their great personalities and shared love for beer. Last year, Garage Beer expanded its distribution into Pennsylvania and is now making its way into New Jersey, just in time for Jason’s Team 62 event in Sea Isle.
Garage Beer also offers merchandise, including a T-shirt with the catchy phrase “The tight end of beers,” a nod to Jason’s description of Garage Beer on a recent “New Heights” episode.
