Excitement and chaos unfolded in New Jersey this week, as a man allegedly stole a plane and crashed it in the woods near Corbin City. The suspect, identified as Robert Wagner, 42, from Point Pleasant, is facing a slew of charges including burglary, trespassing, obstruction of justice, and more as reported by NBC10. Wagner’s crime spree also involved two other burglaries in Corbin City, making his escapade even more daring and reckless.

A recent incident involving a golf cart that was used to simulate drunk driving crashed at a Wildwood police event, injuring five people.
The New Jersey State Police sprang into action after receiving reports of a suspicious man emerging from a wooded area near Route 50 and Main Street on Wednesday morning. Wagner was apprehended after confessing to crashing the stolen plane in a nearby grassy field, but he refused to disclose his identity, resulting in an obstruction charge.
An investigation revealed that Wagner was wanted by Pemberton Police for allegedly stealing a Quad City Ultralight Challenger 2 aircraft from a hangar the day before. The crashed plane’s registration matched the stolen aircraft, leading to Wagner’s confession of not only the theft but also two burglaries in Corbin City. Currently, he is being detained in Atlantic County.
In a separate incident last week in Atlantic County, a plane piloted by John Austin Bryan from Florida encountered engine trouble, prompting Bryan to deploy the aircraft’s parachute and ultimately strike a tree in Galloway Township. Fortunately, Bryan was the sole occupant and managed to exit the plane unscathed.
