The excitement for the 2025 major league season is already building, even as we’re still entrenched in the current season. While the Phillies are battling it out on the field, plans are being made for what lies ahead next spring.
MLB recently unveiled the complete 2025 spring training schedule, setting the stage for an action-packed preseason. The Phillies will kick off their preparations on February 22nd with a game against the Detroit Tigers in Lakeland, Florida.
The following day, they’ll face off against the Orioles at BayCare Ballpark in Clearwater, marking the start of a series of exhibition games leading up to March 24. You can view the full schedule via KYW’s Dave Uram here.
Looking ahead to next spring, there’s anticipation of getting a closer look at top prospects like Aidan Miller and Justin Crawford. Additionally, the possible return of Andrew Painter from Tommy John surgery adds another layer of intrigue, especially with a scheduled Spring Breakout game on March 14.
While the focus for now is on the current season and the Phillies’ World Series ambitions, it’s hard not to get excited about what’s to come next year. Stay tuned for updates as the 2025 season draws closer!
