Tragedy struck on Friday night in Delaware County, as a man who was shot crashed his car on Interstate 95 North, resulting in the death of two individuals. The incident occurred just after 10 p.m. as Clinton Martin, 29, of Lansdowne, was merging from I-95 onto Interstate 476 North in Ridley Township, according to 6ABC.
Reports indicate that Martin’s car fatally struck Joshua Waltz, 33, of Odessa, Delaware, who was standing outside his disabled vehicle on the shoulder. The impact occurred as Martin’s car made contact with the right concrete barrier and guide rail before dragging along the barrier for a quarter of a mile and colliding with Waltz and his car, a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu, as per NBC10.

Martin, who had sustained a gunshot wound, tragically succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Similarly, Waltz was found under Martin’s Mazda and also passed away on-site, authorities revealed. The circumstances surrounding the shooting of Martin remain under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police, who are urging any witnesses with dash cam footage or recording devices from the vicinity to come forward and aid in the inquiry.
