Authorities in South Jersey apprehended a man after a dramatic police pursuit that ended in a crash involving a stolen car on Saturday. The incident left three people, including two children, injured as a result.
The driver of the stolen car, identified as Joshua Chrismon, 32, from Mount Laurel, is facing a slew of charges including reckless endangerment, eluding, resisting arrest, receiving stolen property, and criminal mischief, according to Gloucester City police’s Facebook page.

The high-speed chase unfolded around 6 p.m. when officers from Deptford Township followed the stolen vehicle driven by Chrismon into Gloucester City, as reported by 6ABC. The stolen car collided with another vehicle, causing the second car to crash into a residential building on Morris Street in Gloucester City. Fortunately, the home is still structurally sound despite the impact, according to police.
Chrismon attempted to escape on foot after the collision but was swiftly captured by law enforcement. He has since been taken into custody at the Camden County Jail.
In the aftermath of the crash, the 24-year-old driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries, while two young passengers, aged 8 and 7, were critically hurt and had to be rushed to the hospital for treatment.
