As the Philadelphia Eagles wrap up their final preseason game and prepare for the 53-man cutdowns, speculation is high about who will make the final roster. With some tough decisions looming, let’s take a look at one last projection before the roster is set in stone.

Quarterbacks:

Jalen Hurts, Kenny Pickett, Tanner McKee

Others: Will Grier

While there is a chance for some last-minute trades, the Eagles are likely to stick with these three quarterbacks for the start of the season. The battle between Pickett and McKee for the backup spot will be one to watch.

Running Backs:

Saquon Barkley, Kenny Gainwell, Will Shipley

Others: Kendall Milton, Tyrion Davis-Price, Lew Nichols

Despite some depth at running back, the Eagles will likely go light at this position.

Wide Receivers:

A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Jahan Dotson, Britain Covey, Johnny Wilson, Ainias Smith

Others: Parris Campbell, John Ross, Joseph Ngata, Austin Watkins Jr., Jacob Harris, Griffin Hebert

Several young receivers have shown promise, with Ainias Smith securing a spot on the roster with strong performances.

Tight Ends:

Dallas Goedert, Grant Calcaterra

Others: E.J. Jenkins, Albert Okwuegbunam, Kevin Foelsch, Armani Rogers

The team may look to add another tight end either through a trade or waiver wire.

Offensive Line:

Jordan Mailata, Landon Dickerson, Cam Jurgens, Mekhi Becton, Lane Johnson, Fred Johnson, Tyler Steen, Trevor Keegan, Dylan McMahon

Others: Brett Toth, Darian Kinnard, Matt Hennessy, Nick Gates, Anim Dankwah, Jason Poe, Laekin Vakalahi (exempt)

The offensive line will be a key area to watch as the Eagles finalize their roster, especially with the potential return of Sydney Brown.

Defense and Special Teams:

Across the board, the Eagles will have tough decisions to make on the defensive side of the ball, with special teams playing a significant role in final selections.

Final Thoughts:

As the Eagles look to solidify their roster, expect some surprises and last-minute moves before the season opener. The team will need to balance depth, talent, and special teams contributions in making their final decisions.

  1. QB Will Grier
  2. RB Tyrion Davis-Price
