The Philadelphia Eagles underwent significant changes in 2024, and fans are eager to see the new direction the team is taking. After a disappointing season and the retirement of two legends, Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox, the Eagles made moves to revamp their coaching staff, roster, and invest heavily in the secondary.

Several players who were key contributors in the past are now playing elsewhere or have been released. Let’s take a quick look at where 17 of them have ended up:

D’Andre Swift, RB

Swift decided to leave Philadelphia and signed a lucrative deal with the Chicago Bears in free agency. The Eagles opted to focus their resources on Saquon Barkley instead.

Haason Reddick, DE

Reddick was traded to the Jets amid some drama, and the Eagles received a conditional third-round pick in return. If Reddick holds out for the Jets, it could be a win for Philadelphia.

Kevin Byard, S

Byard, a former All-Pro safety, was traded to the Bears after a lackluster performance with the Eagles. He is expected to make an impact in Chicago’s defense.

Derrick Barnett, DE

Barnett found a new home with the Texans after being released by the Eagles. He continues to be a part of Houston’s defensive end rotation.

Jack Driscoll, T

Driscoll, a versatile tackle, signed with the Dolphins but was later cut to make room for other players. His absence is felt by the Eagles.

Sua Opeta, G

Opeta joined the Buccaneers this season but unfortunately landed on the IR with a torn ACL.

Nick Morrow, LB

Morrow is now part of the Bills’ roster after not being retained by the Eagles for the 2024 season.

Christian Elliss, LB

Elliss found a new opportunity with the Patriots and is expected to contribute to their defense.

Olamide Zaccheaus, WR

Zaccheaus moved to the Commanders in free agency and is currently listed as their WR3 in the slot.

Marcus Mariota, QB

Mariota is now mentoring rookie Jayden Daniels with the Commanders as the backup quarterback. He chose to join Washington over the Eagles.

Kentavius Street, DT

Street is currently on the Falcons’ injured reserve list after being traded from the Eagles.

Boston Scott, RB

Scott was released by the Rams and is currently a free agent, while the Eagles have secured their running back position.

Quez Watkins, WR

Watkins signed with the Steelers but did not earn a roster spot and remains a free agent.

Rashaad Penny, RB

Penny retired from football after a brief stint with the Panthers, failing to make an impact.

Terrell Edmonds, S

Edmonds was released by the Jaguars after a short tenure with the Eagles.

Josiah Scott, CB

Scott was cut by the Steelers in July after signing with them earlier in the year.

Mario Goodrich, CB

Goodrich was let go by the Giants due to injury concerns, ending his time with the team.
