Exciting news for South Jersey donut lovers! Federal Donuts, the beloved Philadelphia-based donut, fried chicken, and coffee shop, is expanding into the area with plans to open its first location later this year. CEO Jeff Benjamin shared that potential sites are being considered in Cherry Hill, Moorestown, and Marlton, citing the strong retail presence in these communities as a driving factor for expansion.
Founded in 2011 by culinary partners Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook, Federal Donuts is part of the CookNSolo family of restaurants, which includes the renowned Israeli eatery Zahav. With existing stores in Philadelphia, as well as locations at the Wells Fargo Center and Citizens Bank Park, Federal Donuts has been steadily growing its footprint.
Recently, the brand announced plans to open franchises in the Philly suburbs and Las Vegas, showcasing its ambitious expansion strategy. With a focus on quality and innovation, Federal Donuts has expanded its menu to include fried chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, and a popular breakfast sandwich known as the Early Bird.
Supported by a growth equity investment from NewSpring Franchise, Federal Donuts is actively seeking franchisees for both single and multi-unit locations. In South Jersey, the company is working with experienced franchisee Mark Heinz and industry veteran Deborah Grady to bring their delicious offerings to new communities.
As Federal Donuts continues to expand its reach, fans can look forward to more exciting additions to the menu, including seasonal specials and themed pastries. Stay tuned for updates on the opening of the newest Federal Donuts location in South Jersey!
