The Philadelphia Phillies have hit a rough patch lately, leading fans to question the decisions made by the front office, spearheaded by Dave Dombrowski, in the past 10 months. Did they let valuable players slip away? Were the right choices made in letting go of players like Rhys Hoskins or Craig Kimbrel?

Let’s take a look at how some former Phillies are faring with their new teams:

Seranthony Domínguez, RP, Orioles

One of the most bittersweet goodbyes at the trade deadline was Seranthony Domínguez. Since joining the Orioles, he has been on fire, posting a 1.80 ERA with six strikeouts in five appearances.

Gregory Soto, RP, Orioles

Another former Phillies reliever with the Orioles is Gregory Soto. However, his performance has been less than stellar, allowing four runs in just one inning pitched (36.00 ERA).

Cristian Pache, OF, Orioles, Marlins

Cristian Pache has bounced between three teams in two weeks. After a brief stint with the Orioles, he landed with the Marlins. Pache has shown glimpses of his potential with a 1-for-5 start in Miami.

Whit Merrifield, UTIL, Braves

Whit Merrifield, released by the Phillies, found a new home with the Braves. He is hitting .213 in six games for Atlanta after struggling with a .199 average during his time with the Phillies.

Craig Kimbrel, RP, Orioles

Craig Kimbrel, another former Phillies closer, was traded to the Orioles after a rough patch. Despite a few hiccups, Kimbrel maintains a 3.29 ERA with 23 saves this season.

Rhys Hoskins, 1B, Brewers

Rhys Hoskins has found success with the Milwaukee Brewers, hitting 19 home runs and driving in 57 runs. Though his average sits at .220, he continues to provide power for the first-place Brewers.

Jake Cave, OF, Rockies

Former Phillies outfielder Jake Cave has secured a starting role with the Rockies, hitting .247 with four home runs and 25 RBI in 91 games this season.

Michael Lorenzen, SP, Rangers, Royals

Michael Lorenzen has been a solid starter for the Texas Rangers but was recently traded to the Kansas City Royals. In his debut with the Royals, he allowed only one run, maintaining a 3.69 ERA for the season.

Bailey Falter, SP, Pirates

Bailey Falter has been a reliable starter for the Pittsburgh Pirates, starting 18 games with an ERA just under 4 and a WAR of 1.6, proving his value to the team.

Connor Brogdon, RP, Dodgers

Former Phillies pitcher Connor Brogdon has struggled since joining the Dodgers, surrendering multiple home runs in one appearance and currently sidelined with plantar fasciitis.
