The Philadelphia 76ers have been eyeing an addition to their roster, and it seems like they have found their man. According to a report by Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Sixers are looking to sign French forward Guerschon Yabusele to a standard NBA contract.

Yabusele, a former first-round pick of the Boston Celtics, struggled to find his footing in the NBA initially. However, he has since thrived playing for Real Madrid overseas. The 28-year-old has expressed his desire to make a return to the NBA, and his standout performances at the 2024 Olympic Games for Team France have now paved the way for his comeback.
During the Olympic games, Yabusele showcased his skills, particularly in the latter part of the tournament. He put up impressive numbers, averaging 19.6 points per game on over 52% shooting across three crucial games.
Known for his improved mobility and shooting ability, Yabusele brings a unique skill set to the Sixers. His strength and three-point shooting make him a valuable addition to the team, especially at the power forward position where the Sixers could benefit from added muscle and toughness.
If the deal goes through, Yabusele would join 14 players on standard NBA contracts for the Sixers. This move would provide the team with flexibility and depth heading into the season, with Yabusele likely to compete for minutes at the four position.
