In the early hours of Monday morning, police in Olney responded to a double shooting involving two teenagers. The incident occurred at the 200 block of East Duncannon Avenue and A Street, near the athletic fields of Olney High School. According to a report by 6ABC, one of the teenagers is in critical condition, while the other remains stable.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and the names and ages of the teenagers have not been released. Police are actively investigating the incident, knocking on doors in the surrounding area.

In a separate incident, police also responded to a shooting at Whitacker Avenue and East Hunting Park, about a mile away. According to Fox29, a car was shot at, and another car was involved in a crash. Police suspect that the two scenes may be connected.

Despite these unsettling events, Olney High School was scheduled to host a freshman orientation and back-to-school event on Monday at 10 a.m. The Philadelphia School District’s school year is set to begin on August 26, but the school has not commented on the incident at this time.

It is crucial for authorities to apprehend those responsible for these violent acts as the community grapples with the aftermath of these shootings. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families during this difficult time.
