Exciting news, fitness enthusiasts in Philadelphia – Blink Fitness, known for its affordable and community-focused gyms, is making some changes. Unfortunately, the two Blink Fitness locations in Philadelphia, located at 5597 Tulip St. in Wissinoming and 330 W. Oregon Ave. in South Philadelphia, will be closing their doors on August 30th. But fear not, as Blink Fitness is dedicated to finding a new owner to carry on their mission.

With 101 gyms across seven states, Blink Fitness has become a go-to destination for those looking for an inclusive and supportive gym environment. Although the company recently filed for bankruptcy, they are committed to continuing operations at their most popular locations and welcoming new members during this transition.

In a statement by Guy Harkless, Blink Fitness’ president and CEO, he expressed the company’s determination to navigate this process and ensure Blink Fitness remains a leader in the fitness industry. With the support of $21 million from lenders, Blink Fitness is poised to emerge from bankruptcy stronger than ever.

While Blink Fitness may be saying goodbye to its Philadelphia and New Jersey locations, including Parsippany and Union, on August 30th, their presence remains strong in other states like New York, Illinois, California, Massachusetts, and Texas. So, rest assured, Blink Fitness is here to stay.

Stay updated on Blink Fitness’ journey by following them on social media, and don’t hesitate to reach out with any news tips. Let’s support Blink Fitness as they embark on this exciting new chapter!
