Exciting news for all visitors to Willow Grove Park mall! Starting Tuesday, there are new regulations in place to ensure a safe and family-friendly environment for everyone.

According to the newly released Parental Supervision Policy, children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian after specific hours. This means that after 5 p.m. on weekdays and after 3 p.m. on Sundays, minors must have adult supervision while at the mall.

This decision comes in response to concerns raised by shoppers and local authorities about unsupervised minors congregating in large groups at the mall.

To enforce the policy, security personnel will be stationed at entrances to monitor incoming visitors. The rules also apply to the parking lots and garages on the premises.

If unaccompanied minors are found on the property after hours, they will either need to leave or find a parent or guardian to join them. Adults escorting children must be 21 or older and can accompany up to four kids, with at least one being their own.

For identification purposes, security may ask for photo ID to verify ages. Those without proper identification will be asked to leave, and those who refuse may face trespassing charges.

But don’t worry, young employees at the mall are exempt from these restrictions. Store managers will ensure that workers under 18 have the necessary approvals to carry out their shifts.

“Our goal at Willow Grove Park is to provide a secure and welcoming environment for all our guests,” said Romaine Crawford, the mall’s general manager. “This policy ensures a pleasant shopping experience for everyone while maintaining a safe setting for employees and visitors.”

Similar guidelines are also in place at the Fashion District shopping center in Center City. Visitors under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian over 23 years old after 2 p.m.
