Breaking news out of Philadelphia – three individuals have been indicted on federal charges for their alleged involvement in a bribery scheme to smuggle weapons, narcotics, and phones into the Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center. The plot involved Breyanna Cornish, Jawayne Brown, and Ahmad Nasir, who is currently incarcerated at SCI Greene.

Brown and Nasir are also facing charges for conspiracy to possess Suboxone with intent to distribute, a controlled substance commonly used for treating opioid addiction.
If found guilty, Cornish could be looking at up to 15 years in prison and a $500,000 fine, while Brown faces a maximum sentence of 25 years and a $1 million fine. Nasir, on the other hand, could potentially be sentenced to 35 years in prison and a $1.5 million fine.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office has not disclosed further details about the alleged conspiracy, but the Federal Bureau of Investigation has been leading the case.
