Injury reports are always a hot topic leading up to game day, and the Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints are no exception. The Eagles started the week with just two players on their injury report, but added Chauncey Gardner-Johnson later on. Meanwhile, the Saints had a lengthy list with 10 players initially listed. Let’s take a closer look at who will be on the sidelines for both teams.
The Eagles made some roster moves by elevating WR Parris Campbell and TE Jack Stoll from the practice squad. Keep an eye on Tanner McKee who will be the emergency quarterback for this game.
Key Inactives:
- WR A.J. Brown: With Brown out again, expect Saquon Barkley to shoulder the rushing load while DeVonta Smith takes charge in the passing game.
- LB Devin White: White continues to be sidelined due to an ankle injury, missing another week.
- CB Eli Ricks: Ricks played a minimal role in the first game and will be inactive for this matchup.
- OL Darrian Kinnard: The backup linemen will be Tyler Steen, Fred Johnson, and newly added Nick Gates.
Notable Players on IR, PUP, Suspension, etc:
- S Sydney Brown (PUP): Brown is still rehabbing an ACL injury and will miss the first four games.
- S James Bradberry (IR): A lower body injury has Bradberry out for 6-8 weeks.
- WR Ainias Smith (IR): An ankle injury sidelines Smith for 4-6 weeks.
The Saints will be missing do-it-all player Taysom Hill, among others.
Notable Players on IR, PUP, Suspension, etc:
- OT Ryan Ramczyk: Ramczyk is on the reserve PUP list for the season, paving the way for Trevor Penning to step up.
- RB Kendre Miller: Miller, a second-year back, adds depth to the missing pieces on game day.
Stay tuned for more updates and be sure to catch the Eagles-Saints matchup to see how these injuries impact the game!
