Unfortunately, A.J. Brown has been sidelined for the Eagles’ past two games and is expected to miss even more playing time as the team approaches their Week 4 bye. This Sunday’s game against Tampa Bay will likely see Brown sitting out once again due to a lingering hamstring injury.

After appearing on the injury report before the Week 2 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, Brown was ruled out of the game with a hamstring issue. During an interview with ESPN’s Lisa Salters on Monday Night Football, Brown mentioned that he expected to miss more games due to the injury.

Head coach Nick Sirianni shared that Brown felt a little tightness in practice, prompting the team to exercise caution. With DeVonta Smith also likely out this week due to a concussion, the Eagles are being extra cautious in managing their key offensive players.

Dr. Dinesh Dhanaraj, an orthopedic surgeon at St. Mary Medical Center, shed some light on hamstring injuries in NFL receivers. He explained the importance of the hamstring muscles in explosive movements and the challenges receivers face due to the nature of their position.

Hamstring injuries can vary in severity, with different grades determining the recovery time. Brown’s injury appears to be a muscular one, which generally heals faster than tendon injuries. This gives hope for his return in the coming weeks as he goes through a gradual rehabilitation process.

Despite the setbacks, the Eagles’ schedule lining up with Brown’s potential recovery timeline could see him back on the field for their matchup against the Cleveland Browns on October 13. Until then, the team will continue to monitor his progress and provide updates on his status.

Keep an eye on the injury reports in the following weeks to track Brown’s journey back to full fitness. Hopefully, he’ll be back in action soon, ready to make a big impact for the Eagles.
