Welcome back to the latest update from Philadelphia Eagles training camp! Day 12 brought a joint practice with the New England Patriots, and it was a fun-filled day filled with standout performances and exciting moments. Let’s dive right into the highlights:

• Did not practice:

  1. S Chauncey Gardner-Johnson: Shoulder
  2. TE Grant Calcaterra: Shoulder
  3. TE Albert Okwuegbunam: Abdomen
  4. S Caden Sterns: Knee
  5. LB Oren Burks: Knee

Limited:

  1. DB Cooper DeJean: Hamstring
  2. WR Parris Campbell: Groin
  3. LB Brandon Smith: Concussion
  4. S Mekhi Garner: Hamstring

One of the most significant updates from the injury report was Cooper DeJean returning to practice for the first time this summer, participating in individual drills and marking a positive step forward in his recovery.

• The Eagles’ defense showcased dominance against the Patriots’ offense, notably recording a series of consecutive sacks. Players such as Moro Ojomo, Bryce Huff, Nolan Smith, and Nakobe Dean made their presence felt with impressive performances.

• In a standout series, Jalen Carter stood out by outplaying Patriots’ offensive lineman Michael Onwenu, demonstrating his exceptional talent and skillset.

• Player Jeremiah Trotter stole the show with a remarkable interception during practice, showcasing quick reflexes and hands of steel.

• Quarterback Jalen Hurts continues to impress, maintaining a clean streak without throwing interceptions throughout camp. His connection with receivers like Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, and DeVonta Smith was highlighted by some standout plays.

• On the defensive end, Darius Slay and Zack Baun contributed multiple interceptions, showcasing the team’s defensive prowess and playmaking abilities.

• Noteworthy performances from players like A.J. Brown with double-digit catches and the continued standout play of Mekhi Becton further added to the day’s excitement.

• Special teams provided an intense moment when Isaiah Rodgers took a hard hit, sparking a retaliatory play from Kenny Gainwell that almost escalated into a scuffle between the two teams.

• The day ended on a light-hearted note when a young Patriots fan teased Nick Sirianni about his coaching job, highlighting the humor and banter present during joint practices.
