The Philadelphia Eagles are off to a 2-1 start this season, but it’s clear that there are some areas of concern for the team.

Despite these weaknesses, General Manager Howie Roseman made significant improvements to the roster following the team’s collapse in 2023.

However, there are some former players who may have been overlooked for a return. Let’s take a look at how 14 of these players are faring with their new teams in 2024:

D’Andre Swift, RB

It’s undeniable that the Eagles upgraded at running back by letting Swift go to the Bears and signing Saquon Barkley. Swift has struggled in Chicago, averaging just 1.8 yards per carry.

Haason Reddick, DE

Reddick is currently holding out, leaving the Jets in a tough spot.

Kevin Byard, S

Byard has had some solid performances with the Bears, but most would agree that the Eagles made the right move with C.J. Gardner-Johnson.

Derek Barnett, DE

Barnett is making an impact with the Texans, recording two sacks in three games without any penalties.

Sua Opeta, G

Opeta suffered a season-ending ACL injury with the Buccaneers, impacting their depth at guard.

Nick Morrow, LB

Morrow has yet to make a significant impact with the Bills.

Christian Elliss, LB

Elliss has been mostly limited to special teams with the Patriots.

Olamide Zaccheaus, WR

As the Eagles face depth issues at wide receiver, Zaccheaus has shown some promise with the Commanders.

Marcus Mariota, QB

Mariota is guiding the young Jayden Daniels in Washington, while the Eagles opted to acquire Kenny Pickett.

Kentavius Street, DT

Street has been solid for the Falcons, contributing on defense.

Boston Scott, RB

Scott was cut by the Rams and Steelers due to roster moves after a productive preseason.

Quez Watkins, WR

Watkins is currently on the Steelers’ practice squad.

Terrell Edmunds, S

Edmunds has seen limited action with the Steelers this season.

Marlon Tuipulotu, DT

The Eagles opted to move on from Tuipulotu, who is waiting for his opportunity with the Chiefs.
