Attention all Center City residents and visitors: a man is on the loose after causing chaos on Spruce Street in broad daylight. Police are on the hunt for the suspect who took his anger out on multiple cars by smashing their windshields. The shocking incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon around 2:30 p.m. along the 900 and 1000 blocks of Spruce Street, a quiet residential area just a stone’s throw away from Washington Square West and Pennsylvania Hospital.

Caught on camera, the man was seen viciously stomping on the windshield of a white SUV before making a quick getaway down Spruce Street. Authorities released surveillance footage of the suspect in action, displaying his destructive behavior for all to see.

If you have any information that could help lead to the capture of this vandal, please reach out to the Central Detective Division at 215-686-3093. The suspect is described as a man with a beard and mustache, sporting a dark hat, light-colored sweatshirt, light pants, and sneakers with a striking black, red, and white design. He was also spotted carrying a dark backpack during the incident.
