Welcome to an exciting professional development opportunity in collaboration with University City District’s West Philadelphia Skills Initiative (WPSI) and PIDC’s Navy Yard Skills Initiative (NYSI)! We are thrilled to announce the launch of a comprehensive training program designed to prepare Philadelphia residents for high-paying, full-time careers with our esteemed employer partner, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD).

NSWCPD, located at the historic Navy Yard, is offering graduates of this program the chance to kickstart their careers in Management Assistant roles with a competitive starting wage of $26 per hour. Applications for this exclusive training program are now open until August 23rd, with the program scheduled to run from September 19th to October 11th. The Management Assistant Program, a result of the collaborative efforts between WPSI and NSWCPD, is tailor-made to equip participants with the necessary tools and support to thrive as federal employees. This dynamic role, offering a competitive wage of $26.36 per hour, involves providing administrative support to the managers and project teams overseeing naval machinery operations at the Navy Yard.
